He has written musical studies of Portuguese composers Luis de Freitas Branco and Carlos do Andrade, presents on radio and continues to perform as a member of the Lacerda string quartet.
>>> Antonio Chagas Rosa (born 1960 Portugal) studied piano with Alexander Hrisanide at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam, and composition with Klaas de Vries and Jan Peter Wagemans in Rotterdam. His compositions, ranging from solo to symphonic have been performed throughout Europe, the far east and North America, and have included commissions from many contemporary festivals. He teaches at the University of Aveiro.
